Vegan Smoothie Recipes


 

Vegan smoothie recipes are a fantastic way to get extra nutrition into your diet, particularly if you don't have many alternative ways of getting nutrients vegans typically do not get enough of such as protein and certain types of vitamins and minerals that can be a bit more prevalent within omnivore diets. Another fantastic way of making them more nutritionally well rounded is to use vegan friendly protein supplements such as rice protein or protein supplements from sprouts and grains. 


I also generally recommend that you use a wide variety of different types of fruits and vegetables so that you don't get stuck getting a limited amount of nutrients you would get from only using a few varieties every single time. Some of my favorite greens to include in a vegan smoothie are kale and spinach, but you can also use other types of greens as well such as chard or wheatgrass. I also recommend that you use a combination of both fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables as well. Here is a great vegan friendly smoothie recipe to get you started!

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cup chard
  • 2 cups mixed frozen berres
  • 1 cup frozen banana chunks
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp stevia powder for sweetening
  1. first you want to place your water into the blender
  2. then you will want to put in your spinach, kale, and chard
  3. then you will want to put in your mixed frozen berries
  4. and finally add your frozen banana chunks on top along with your sweetener
  5. blend until desired consistency
  6. enjoy!
